Election season kicks off in Alexandria today

Geneva, Alexandria; The Genevan Arrow - Acting Prime Minister Jose Frias called for parliamentary elections today on behalf of Prime Minister Matthieu Poitiers. Prime Minister Matthieu Poitiers could not be present to call for elections due to a personal leave of absence. This announcement officially kicks off the Alexandrian election season, which will end in June with the Prime Ministerial elections.

The 3rd general election promises to be a contested election - over the last few months, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has developed into a viable and stong opposition movement against the ruling Alexandrian Conservative Party. PDP leader Pete James has already kicked off the campaign by posting the first campaign speech of the election in the Place du Marmion. Many expect the PDP to strongly challenge the Conservatives in this election.

The Genevan Arrow restarts publishing

Geneva, Alexandria; The Genevan Arrow - The state newspaper, the Genevan Arrow, has reopened its doors to the Alexandrian and intermicronational public once more after a long hiatus from the micronational blogsphere. The Genevan Arrow went into abandonment after the staff of the newspaper deserted it. The Genevan Arrow is a direct descendant of the former Imperial media giant, the Alexandrian Broadcasting and Communications Corporation, or ABCC. The ABCC changed its name to the Genevan Arrow on November 17th, 2005.

"The Genevan Arrow is part of our nation's history, and we should continue to keep operating it not only as a medium for the news publishing, but for recording our nation's history," said His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Edgard II.
