Proposed draft of the constitution encounters opposition

Geneva, Alexandria; ABCC News - Jean Jacques Miterrand, the leader of the Union for the Popular Majority, has expressed severe opposition against the first draft of a constitution, proposed by the Emperor himself. The Constitutional Convention, meeting in Geneva, has not seen much action yet, and this could be the needed catalyst to get the Convention going.

The current draft, proposed by the Emperor, was meant to merely start things off- so far it has gained general acceptance. That is until today. The proposed constitution would create an elected judiciary and would turn the Estates-General into a unicameral Parliament in which all citizens are able to participate. Miterrand showed severe disagreements with these points, and suggested creating a balance of power between the Emperor and the Prime Minister much like France's government. He also suggested the addition of a full bill of rights to the current constitutional draft.
